Fake stamp paper racket kingpin Abdul Karim Telgin and seven others were awarded seven years of rigorous imprisonment and Rs 50,000 penalty by a CBI court on Friday.
Retired assistant commissioner of police Sangram Singh, who investigated the case, was awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment.
The court found that Sangram Singh removed Telgi's name from the charge sheet.
